Bert Allenberry, a wealthy, disenchanted scientist from the year 2089, uses his company’s time-travel technology to repeatedly visit the 1939 New York World’s Fair. During his excursions to the past, he falls in love with Carmen Perry, and he tries to prolong their encounters while hiding his futuristic origins.
