Smarter people than me have typed a lot of words about the timing of this thing, technical problems with the show, whether T.F.B. is the right subject for a biomusical. For my money I felt it was a little underrated. I got a great seat for cheap to see talented folks put on a good show. The book is a little wooden at points but the songs and staging and message are all reasonably entertaining.
Part of the joy of seeing something on stage is how ephemeral the experience is—and in that respect, isn’t it a little bit of a special privilege to see all the hard work these folks put in for such a small audience during a short run?
