Sarah on theater

What I'm seeing lately!

On his 69th birthday, a solitary man listens to a recording of himself made 30 years earlier, engaging in a stark and often funny dialogue with his younger, hopeful self while recording a new tape for posterity.

Very good rendition of a Beckett classic. A brisk 55 minutes, poignant on themes of aging and memory. Lots of quiet physicality. Stephen Rea recorded the Younger Krapp tapes 13 years ago; you can really hear the difference in his voice, which adds a lot.
