Two plays condensed, where Part 1 is great and Part 2 is a slog. This production is mostly very enjoyable, breezing through the latter but still telling enough of it to wrap up the story.
I thought Elijah Jones (Prince Hal) and Jay Sanders (Falstaff) were particularly good. Steven Epp was also a highlight as a glue guy in several secondary roles. I did not realize until the show started that Dakin Matthews (King Henry, adapted text) was Headmaster Charleston from Gilmore Girls, which was a delightful surprise.
Most scenes are fine-to-good in the round, with a couple of notable exceptions. There was one frustratingly lengthy sequence in the tavern where Hal and Falstaff take turns telling stories where I had no line of sight to them sitting on this side of the mezzanine.
